History

2001: Atlas Magnetics Europe (AME) was founded by Mr. Henry Stienen, the current CEO of the company, in 2001 as a daughter company of Atlas Magtech Ltd., a Chinese manufacturer of a wide range of magnetic materials. With his more than 25 years of experience in linking the magnetic needs of the European markets and magnetic materials producers, Mr Stienen has been able to grow the company fast into one of the biggest players on the European market for Industrial magnets.

2002: Opening of the German Sales office in Hanau.

2003: In 2003 AME started supplying the markets with high-end magnetic assemblies.

2005: The long standing collaboration between AME and its Chinese Neodymium (NdFeB) producer was finalised by signing of a strategic alliance. Making AME the sole window of this large, licensed manufacturer of high quality NdFeB magnets for Europe.

2005: Due to growth of the organisation AME headquarters were moved from Veghel, The Netherlands, into more suited premises in Schijndel, The Netherlands.

2006: An alliance was forged between AME and the sole producer of high tech back-extruded NdFeB based radially oriented anisotropic ring magnets in Japan, China and Thailand (registered on the Tokio stock market). Making AME its European sales window for in the field of NdFeB based radially oriented anisotropic ring magnets and bonded NdFeB magnets, this includes the newest, high-end material; SmFeN.

2006: A collaboration was started between AME and Stebe Fijnmetaal in Nuenen, The Netherlands, for the production of high-end mechanical components and the development and production of proto’s and small series of magnetic systems for the high-tech industry.

2006: AME signs contract with sales representative in Portugal.

2006: Écart Invest, a Dutch investment company, is taking a minority stake in AME.

2007: The long standing collaboration between AME and its Chinese Samarium Cobalt producer, a mayor producer of high quality SmCo5 and Sm2Co17, was finalised by signing of a strategic alliance, making AME its the sole window for Europe.

2007: AME opens own sales and customer service office in Ningbo, China.

2007: AME is finalising the collaboration with a Chinese high end producer of magnetic systems and motors, for the manufacture of magnetic systems.

2007: AME opens own R&D Center supplying customers with services connected to magnetic properties, coatings, gluing of magnets and the design of whole electric motors / linear systems.

2007: A collaboration was signed between AME and the German producer of high performance anodised aluband and coils, making AME the sales representative of this new material to replace conventional lacquered copper wire in e.g. coils, transformers, etc.

2008: Beginning of 2008 AME is taking over Stebe Fijnmetaal as wholly-owned subsidiary.

2008: Regional Sales offices are opened in South, West and North Germany to facilitate servicing the local customers.
